Housekeeping Assistant We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the team as a Linen Porter.
The role of a Linen Porter requires you to adopt a security and safety-conscious attitude, to ensure the safety of all guests and hotel property. Linen Porters are primarily responsible for the cleaning and housekeeping of a building. They conduct routine rounds of rooms and facilities, where they deliver linen, sweep, mop, or vacuum floors, scrub walls and windows, and remove garbage. They may also do minor repairs and take on quick tasks, from transporting items to restocking supplies. You will be required to complete key duties for the Linen Porter Duty List and daily handover procedures in an efficient and responsible manner.
You will ensure all corridors are clear; fire extinguishers and fire doors are secure, whilst conducting safety floor checks during the night. You are required to understand Company Policy with reference to Hazard spotting and reporting accidents. You would carry out timely and efficient Morning Call service as required.
The ideal candidate will have experience in hospitality and in a similar role. The ability to work well alone is essential, along with excellent customer service skills.
